Automated Feeding Systems for Modern Poultry Farms

Consistent, Controlled Feed Delivery for High-Performance Poultry Flocks

Gartech’s Automated Feeding Systems are designed for both floor and vertical farm management. They include trolley (cart) systems, pan feeding, chain feeding, and flexible feed conveyors, suitable for broiler, layer, and breeder farms. Each system ensures uniform and accurate feed distribution based on bird requirements. With advanced automation, feeding becomes a well-controlled, programmable, and efficient process instead of a labor-intensive task. These systems can be easily configured for different farm setups.

GE Maxxpro — Pan Feeding System
GE Maxxpro — Pan Feeding System

Broiler · Deep Litter Floor

The GE Maxxpro Pan Feeding System is an auger-driven automatic feeding that delivers feed from the hopper through pipes directly to feeder pans within the poultry house. This type of feeding system is usually used for commercial broiler floor (deep litter) houses.

Each feeder pan is designed with 18 dedicated feeding slots, ensuring uniform access and consistent feed intake. With a storage capacity of up to 2 kg per pan, the system supports uninterrupted feeding even during power outages. The feeder consists of only four main components, allowing easy assembly, dismantling, and cleaning.

The GE Maxxpro feeder requires no adjustments, allowing birds of all ages—from day-old chicks to fully grown birds—to feed comfortably in a natural posture, ensuring convenience and operational efficiency.

Chain Feeding System for Broiler Breeders
Chain Feeding System

Broiler Breeders · Floor Rearing

Broiler breeder flocks are maintained on a restricted diet and require simultaneous, uniform feed distribution. The automatic drag chain feeding system delivers feed from the hopper through troughs using a motor-driven chain for consistent feeding across the house.

In floor-reared breeder houses, separate feeding lines are provided for males and females due to their different feed types and quantities. This prevents birds from accessing each other’s feed, reducing competition and ensuring balanced feed intake.

GE Accu-Level Pro Cart Type Feed Trolley
GE Accu-Level Pro

Cart type feed trolley system (Patent no. 544610)

Accu-Level Pro is an automatic cart-type feed trolley system designed for multi-tier commercial layer farming. Each feed trolley is equipped with a feed storage hopper that ensures efficient feed delivery across all tiers.

The system allows centralized regulation of feed levels for every tier, enabling precise and uniform feed distribution. The feed distribution boots are fitted with a self-raking mechanism that ensures smooth and consistent feed raking.

Additionally, the system features a feed bypass facility, allowing operators to skip specific tiers where birds are not present, thereby preventing feed wastage and improving operational efficiency.

GE Accu-Feed Special with QDTS Technology
GE Accu-Feed

Special Feed Distribution System with QDTS Technology (Patent No. 358442)

GE Accu-Feed is a computerized feed distribution system designed for multi-tier broiler breeder (parent) farming. The automatic cart-type feed trolley ensures accurate and uniform feed delivery across all tiers.

Feed quantity can be pre-set for each tier and feeding for male and female birds can be controlled separately through a user-friendly touch screen console. The system also includes a skip-feeding feature that bypasses cage boxes without birds, helping to reduce feed wastage and improve efficiency.

Scalable configurations for every farm size

Automated feeding solutions are suitable for small and mid-sized farms, large commercial operations, and multi-house or multi-site projects.

Automated Feeding Systems – FAQs

Have more questions? Contact our team at sales@gartech.co.in

An automated feeding system is a mechanised solution that stores, transfers, measures, and distributes feed using silos, conveyors, chains, trolleys, or pans on programmed schedules, improving consistency and reducing manual labour.

The automation concept is similar, but system components differ. Pan feeding systems are commonly used for broilers, while chain or trolley systems are preferred for layer and breeder cage houses.

By ensuring consistent feed quantity, timing, and reduced wastage, automated systems support stable intake patterns. When combined with proper nutrition and health management, this contributes to improved FCR over time.

Regular checks on motors, gearboxes, chains, pans, sensors, and augers are needed, along with periodic cleaning to prevent feed build-up. Preventive maintenance between flocks helps reduce breakdowns and ensures reliable operation.

Automated feeding systems can be used in small and mid-size farms depending on the type of farming. For commercial broilers, they are suitable for houses with about 10,000–15,000 birds; for commercial layers 15,000–20,000 birds; and for breeders, farms can start with around 10,000 birds.
