What You Need

Responsibilities –

Are responsible for organization’s sales-related activities including developing new business, growth strategies and opportunities in the market and maximize long term profitable volume growth;

  • Understand & achieve sales budget (target) both in volume, margin and market share;
  • Analyze the market and determines the sales strategy including a market-specific pricing policy;
  • Enhance, optimize and control the agent network;
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service and managing key client relationships;
  • Work in close collaboration with Customer Solutions to ensure a smooth order handling process and by forwarding feedback from customers or new product ideas/markets requirements to the respective departments;
  • Give advice on suitable farm design and lay-out, negotiate price within limits of authority and payment terms;
  • Recommend and implement detailed annual sales operating plans and preparation of sales performance reports for strategic analysis and review on a monthly or quarterly basis;
  • Coach and manage the local sales and sales support team in achieving the Company’s objectives and goals and deliver excellent service to the customers;
  • Are willing to learn to know and deeply understand products/solutions/services and advise suitable design/solutions with optimal/competitive budget for the investors;
  • Know the competitors and advise suitable strategy to compete efficiently in the market.

Primary Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to Report the market activity to the senior members of the organization
  • Explore the market potential and identify strategies for entering into the new markets and or expansion of customer base.
  • Organize / Participate in regional meetings/seminars to educate customers on New development in Poultry Housings.
  • Organize farmers meeting and technical seminars whenever required
  • Visiting the important customers at least (once in 30 - 45 days)
  • Regularly meeting clients and making them aware regarding our range of products and explain them the superior quality and service that our company provides.
  • Generate new sales leads and meet with prospective leads
  • Experience generate and maintaining relationships with sales leads
  • Identifying promising prospects through cold-calling, networking, and customer referrals.

Skills Required: -

  • Knowledge of poultry farming and (preferably also of) engineering poultry equipment for modern poultry production;
  • A University Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Animal production or any other equivalent qualification;
  • Excellent business acumen with a proven business track record;
  • Excellent networking and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive, able to work independently and able to adapt to a matrix reporting environment;
  • Strong written and verbal English;
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with evidence of building, retaining and motivating a highperformance sales team;
  • Able to travel within assigned region

    Scope of work – Area Sales Manager

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market including major players, competitors, growth drivers and inhibitors and price mechanisms.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and services
  • Ability to individually prepare techno-commercial proposal.
  • Responsible for generating targeted revenue and order book for the assigned territory.
  • New Business Development
  • Responsible for end to end Sales process which includes:
    • Prospecting of new clients
    • Proposal preparation
    • Handling techno-commercial negotiations and closing of sales
    • Monitor proper execution of order, installation and commissioning as per agreed terms and conditions.
    • Providing prompt after sales service to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all levels across the customer organization.
  • Develop and nurture network of influencers and contacts which will further enable our business interests in the region.
  • Ensure prompt and on time payments as per company policy.
  • Preparation of the Annual Business Plan and monthly and quarterly forecasts
  • Continuously apprise Sr. Management on new investments, competitor movements in the assigned territory.
  • Gain insights on competitive product offering, their SWOT to help better position our product offering in the market.
  • Capture customer insights to further improve our product offering.
  • Organization and participation in trade shows, road shows, conferences and other symposia to promote brand and offerings.
  • Assist in development of the marketing plan for the assigned territory.
  • Follow up on leads generated by Regional Managers / Heads and work diligently to ensure lead to order conversion.
